Kaim said troops have halted operations in Misrata to enable tribal elders to negotiate with the rebels. He said if the rebels don't surrender in 48 hours, the tribesmen will fight them in place of the army.? Kaim had first announced troop withdrawal from Misrata on Friday.
Twenty-four people were killed Saturday in fierce fighting in Libya's third-largest city as the United States announced its first Predator drone strike in Libya.
A U.S. Defense Department statement says the airstrike, carried out by an unmanned aircraft, took place on Saturday.? However, the statement does not say where the strike occurred.? The U.S. strike is part of a NATO-led effort to impose a no-fly zone over Libya, where rebels are fighting to overthrow the government.

Earlier Saturday, NATO forces bombed an area close to the Libyan leader's compound in Tripoli, hitting what reporters described as a military installation.? There were no reports of injuries.
And the Italian Foreign Ministry said Libyan authorities had released an Italian ship detained in the port of Tripoli last month along with its 11 crew members.? The ship, which was working for an Italian oil company, was seized shortly before the international coalition began imposing the no-fly zone.

23-04-2011thomasSERVO(USA)Glad to see that just as our exalted leader repeatedly still claims, we are no longer involved in Libya.
23-04-2011Fredy(USA)There are reports of children being sexually abused by Gaddafi's soldiers. Some of their relatives have been witness of these crimes. Some children have witness their fathers being killed.
23-04-2011Western Islander(Canada)The Libyan rebels are heavily armed by al-Quaeda support from Saudi Arabia and the World Banks, but seem to be poorly organized. Under NATO and US help they are trying to overthrow the government of Libya. The US cannot afford another war, yet Obama is spending millions to support the al-Quaeda backed rebels to overthrow a foreign countrie's political leader. If Obama spends all of US citizen's money on war with Libya, there will not be enough left to wage war against Iran.
23-04-2011(Rwanda)drones enforcing no fly zone? Or it's ESCALATION??? so much money to spend on wars abroad while at home politicians talk very much about deficit, cut spending on healthcare for senior citizens and the 'poor', raising taxes,...?? Contradiction? Some hidden interests??
23-04-2011Thaddeus S. Kaczor, Jr.(United States)Remote-Control War- Didn't work for Clinton or Bush Does Obama think it will work for him? It's all about mission creep now. Johnson and tried to micromanage the Vietnam War from D.C. and imposed ridiculous ROE's, and look what happened there. By trying to do it 'on the cheap' and 'not getting involved', Obama is merely prolonging the inevitable use of ground troops, and getting a lot more innocent civilians killed in the meantime. The military has a name for this- SNAFU! Look it up.
23-04-2011IronMike(USA)Didn't anyone notice that one of the FIRST acts of the so-called rebels was to create a new central bank? Only 4 nations left without a Rothschild controlled central bank. Funny how that was one of the first and highest priorities. Puts everything into perspective.
23-04-2011(USA)How come the press doesn't show the Rebels beheading soldiers who had surrendered
23-04-2011barny(zimbabwe)step up o efforts usa.we are strongly behind you
23-04-2011Paul Torn(Heaven)Cities are devastated, Many people are killed, human suffering, water, food and medecine are scarce, Buildings and houses are destroyed, the land is contaminated by depleted uranium, .... is there another way to arrive to Democracy?Does somebody know how to stop all this ? .... they all prefer the things to continue for all year ?All Mighty Allah, help them to find the way that will bring them peace .....
23-04-2011mac(Arizona usa)Pay no attention to Obummer! Marines next!
23-04-2011K(USA)Gas is over 4 bucks a gallon.... I repeat, 4 bucks a gallon.... the middle east is a powder keg, I get it, but there is gonna be serious problems over here if we don't sort this economy out fast..
23-04-2011What do any of you people really know? I will tell you....NOTHING. Sit back in your easy chair and make dumb comments on a situation you know nothing about. If you where in the white house then you might know whats going on and then you could make a educated comment.
23-04-2011Wow, Gadafi supporters... why don't you go and fight for him?
23-04-2011Tom(USA)Our President is close friends with Bill Ares. A man who bombed our nations federal government buildings for the unjust Viet Nam war. Obama started his own Presidential Run at this terorrists home. They were also very neighbors and great friends. If Bill Ares is invited to Mr. Obamas house THE WHITE HOUSE should we expect that he will try to blow it up because OBAMA now is responsable for the the deaths of inocent people in Liba? They are both need to be brought before the world court!!
23-04-2011Mac(Arizona usa)I don't need to be in the Whitehouse to know that Obummer makes decisions based on committees. His ideas do not exist they are provided by his handlers. Libya is a mess and surprise it did not just come to be that way.If he and the lefty loo gang would spend some time thinking about our economic calamity we would be better off, let the Libyans deal with libya!!
23-04-2011Barry Sereto(Poeples Republic of Mexafornia.)Obama talks tough against our allies like Egypt, and now it is being run by the Muslim brotherhood. Soon the same will run Libya. When the protesters were beaten in Iran he said nothing. It appears to be by design.
23-04-2011CK(UK)What alot of Dumb comments... people are being slaughtered and this all you can say. God help the human race.
23-04-2011mac(Arizona usa)Gaddafi has been there for years, He did not suddenly get to be a bad guy. If he is our problem to solve, how did that happen all of a sudden? I suggest that those folks who think we somehow have to fix this, pack up their stuff and head on over there to get to work on it.
23-04-2011Dee(USA)You are absolutely right until you walk a day in their shoes everyone needs to sit back and pray and be thankful that we are in a free country. We respect Human rights and we do not have a Dictator in charge unless you vote for Donald Trump who received money from Gaddahfi..We are all blessed, need to get the facts right and stand behind our President and the right decision that he made. This was done with a lot of thought and not putting troops on the ground.
23-04-2011(US)You have a citation for that bold claim Western Islander. You really shouldn't use the term Jihad or Jihadist if if you don't know the proper usage of the term.
23-04-2011(US)Al-Queda is a made up organization that does not have a functioning government apparatus. Islamic terrorist do not claim to be member of this alleged organization, but rather the organization was made up by the Bush administration to put a face on a faceless movement. Islamic Terrorism is a result of socioeconomic conditions and Western imperialism not a product of the Koran. .
23-04-2011(UK)Thereare some reports of US citizens having at least half a brain, but I donlt believe them any more than many of the reports out of Libya...
23-04-2011dove2011(UK)I have always supported the US but this WAR is the last straw, What the hell has Libya to do with the US ? It is time the US rein in it's military might and stop trying to be the world police man ! The same goes for the UK , the Public do not want there TAXES spent on death and destruction but on Schools and social services and with luck lower TAXES. Let the BRIC nations impose a peace plan NOW and we stop this bombing now.
23-04-2011mubarak(nigeria)nato force have to withdraw from libya because if obama is spending u.s economic in libya there is a great problem with afg suicide bombers u.s have to plan how to locate the al _qeada if not it will be to late
23-04-2011George(USA)I hope they don't end up trading one dictator for another one.
23-04-2011(USA)Humm...perhaps there should be some predator drone strikes in Washington, D.C.
23-04-2011Mikey(California)If our goal is to get Gadaffy, we should just go in a get him. Keep a Predator monitoring him at all times and take him out when he sticks his head out. But if our goal is to have the Libyans slaughter each other in a stalemate, we sure are doing a good job of it. [sarc off]
23-04-2011Jeff(usa)It seems things are changing all over the middle east. The past situation wasn't much good at bringing peace. perhaps the new situations will. Either way a change will come and hopefully freedom will come with it.
23-04-2011ZMAJ(SERBIA)IMPERIALISTS!!You know that., you feel it, you're trying to avoid it- but it will happen..You're going down..
23-04-2011Edward(USA)The man in the photo captioned "...rebel fighter mans a heavy machine-gun..." is wearing an Iraqi Republican Guard uniform. Beautiful.
23-04-2011XPIOLT(USA)I don't care what anyone from any other part of the world says or does. It's not our problem or business unless you focus your aggression towards us then heaven help you. The Neo-Cons and Neo-Liberals don't like to admit it but we have a Constitution that does not allow us to interfere in other nations affairs. This war in Libya and the others are illegal according to our Constitution and all those Americans that participate in them are criminals. Ignorance of the law is no excuse.
23-04-2011Nate(USA - CA)How many more days does the CIC have, until congress can pull its resources / manpower? Our wars are making less and less sense.
23-04-2011Murat(Turkey)Wow there is some people actually supporting gaddafi, if so, go and fight for him loser. All i can say is please pound gaddafi with drones, as he double crossed turkey.
23-04-2011Misrata is way too close to Tripoli to not neutralize it. If the rebels go to Tripoli from Misrata, it will be the end for Khadafi.
23-04-2011Quadaffy Duck(Libya)Hahaha....Reagan missed missed me long time ago. Send all the drones you want. I'm currently invisible thanks to my ACME jihad cloaking robe. It enables me to fly on my magic carpet without detection.
23-04-2011Hello Syria, Hello Yemen, Hello Bahrain, sorry I can't hear you very well, please speak up... now what did you say... did say 'you are civilians and you need protection... I'm sorry but we are too busy right now destroying Libya to protect Ismalist terrorists and Al Qaeda..
24-04-2011Paul(USA)i get it we borrow more money from China to spend to support Al Queda in Lybia. What a bunch of idiots and O No.... is INCOMPETENT... all he is doing is campaigning.... for WHAT... 70% SAY WE ARE MOVING IN THE WRONG DIRECTION.People out of work want JOBS NOT WASTING MONEY IN MIDDLE EAST.... GET OOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT
24-04-2011(UK)The allied effort in Libya is a noble enterprise intended to defend people who cannot defend themselves. The allied aircrews are doing their best within a politically limited mandate. We should support our pilots properly without engaging in conspiracy theories and complaints about domestic economic problems, and demand that our political leaders finish Qaddafi off.
24-04-2011No Sheep(USA)Tie down the US military overseas, while patriotic citizens revolt against the tyranny in America!
24-04-2011(US)Obama's unconstitutional war enters a new phase...
24-04-2011Tax Slave(North Amerikan Union)I can't believe a dictator like Qaddafi has the moral high ground! The US and Nato attacked a country that was not a threat to them! This is reminiscent of the Reich! Impeach Barry Soetoro aka Barack Obama for an illegal war like Bush did! I can't believe the US and the UK support Al Qaeda in Libya and the Islamic Brotherhood!WikiLeaks has proven our various leaders around the world lie to their public and do the hell what they want to!
24-04-2011Lee Webb(USA)All this talk. Settle down, people -- war never solved anything (except maybe WW1&2 but since then -- nothing). As an American, I say we should pull in our horns, stop being the world's policeman and lead by EXAMPLE. Peace should be our goal. Read www.ideasforourfuture.com for some way-out ideas on how we should handle the future. Do it for our grandkids.
24-04-2011(USSA)Gaddafi has a few hundred tons of gold - not a worthless currency like the dollar. Libya is a big country and he has a lot of allies in Africa. The so called world leaders and their punks (Al Qaeda) seriously underestimated his intelligence. He may say he's giving Misrata up, but to what? Those tribes will turn on each other and he knows that. Misrata will be another Somali.
24-04-2011These "Predator" and "Reaper" airstrikes place fear and terror in the heart of the enemy.......no one is safe......the eye in the sky can hover for hours or days, waiting to execute the death blow.....tanks or SUV's or missle batteries.......no problem........night or day no problem........no sound...no warning....then comes....sudden destruction....death by remote control..
24-04-2011max shean(australia)in the mid 1950's i was a teenager working with men who had fought in the 2nd world war . These men said, ''mate, remember that the u.s.a. always needs a war to survive, They have huge numbers of soldiers to pay, and military machines to build, to use and sell.THEY MUST HAVE A WAR.'' I'm now 73, seen it all and i have to agree.
24-04-2011Stuart Kaufman(US)A plague on both their houses. I am reminded of the Iran/Iraq war, the best war in history. 1MM people on each side were killed over 10 years, with no American casualties. Let them kill each other for as long as they please. Hey, Obama... get lost!
24-04-2011Dan from Ohio(United States of America)I wonder when the Anointed One is going to inform congress for approval?
24-04-2011hamad part 1 of 2(Oman)It seems that Gaddafi loyalists are going to turn Misrata into ghost town in few coming weeks . Gaddafi knew how important the strategy position of Misrata is . Because that he is struggling to block this gap which constitutes danger to his throne . When Libyan official said that they are going to withdraw from Misrata and leave it on the hands of tribes , they meant to create division inside society which make them able to weaken the force of Rebels and destabilize their coordination .
24-04-2011hamad part 2 of 2(Oman)After Gate visited Libya , it is clear that the plea of Al-Qaida has been exaggerated by Gaddafi and Saif in order to oppress the voice of Libyans and eliminate them silently and brutally . Al-Qaida has become common plea to exploit US budget and launch atrocious wars around the world . Gaddafi and Saif learnt probably the lesson and practiced on the ground .
24-04-2011DanRegime change in Iraq took 4 days. Obozo working with the UN will how much more time and money? Just do it man. Send in a sniper team...sheesh.If you have problems in understanding the word regime change, go and freaking look it up.
24-04-2011DCer(USA)The level of stupid, moronic, ignorant, made up nonsense comments posted here is truly incredible.
24-04-2011Isha(Sri Lanka)Rebels seem don't get support from majority of Libyan people, So USA, UK and France have created unnecessary war in Libya. USA, UK leaders always acting as International Dictators, But the thing I don't understand why France joined with them!America starts wars then give it to carry on NATO, Countries who belong to NATO are just like puppets of America. Thatz funny!
24-04-2011Tom, what in the heck are you talking about. You must be from the south....
24-04-2011MediaZombieI don't agree with what we're doing in Libya, and don't think we should waste taxpayers money or our soldiers lives meddling in yet another Middle Eastern conflict, but seriously, all you conservatives who are crying about this- McCain is banging the war drums louder than anyone, and wasn't he the one who got whooped in the last election?
24-04-2011the south(usa)Arrest George Soros, freeze his trillions, then watch life becomes normal not only in the middle east but in the whole world.
24-04-2011vicweast(U.S.A.)Many comments on this page reflect pervasive failures in attempting to educate people who have no capacity for learning -- or minds lost to some propaganda machine or other. Those of you who feel compelled to resort to unfounded slurs or manufactured claims, the emptiness of your positions are easily judged by the absurdity of your language and your choice of ugly words.Lies and distortion are the coin of the masses, but truth is far harder to discern.
24-04-2011Obi-Wan Kenobi to the rescue. The fate of the galaxy during the waning days of the empire rests in his hands. Better yet, beam down Flash Gordon. . .
24-04-2011Chaker(Canada)The joker needs a circus. Ghaddafi and Libya seems to fit . If you don't like the show, then don't go. If the shoe fits wear it. Whatever works for the Libyans not else. Zenga Zenga .......
24-04-2011(U.S.A.)What do any of you people really know? I will tell you....NOTHING. Sit back in your easy chair and make dumb comments on a situation you know nothing about. If you where in the white house then you might know whats going on and then you could make a educated comment.***********************************************************************************Right on! Everyone knows the answer, is an expert, or has some grand plan to fix everything. From what I read, most of you are full of IT.
24-04-2011It is strange to hear of a gang up group of nations deciding to support a rebel group of people against its government. Tthere is a senester or ulterior motive behind this so called no fly zone which is a full fledge war of the West against a sovereign nation Libya. Stop this cover up and let life go on.
24-04-2011SeaTac(USA)How is it mission creep to send remote controlled planes vs. manned airplanes? It's safer and cheaper for the US military. Regardless of how you fell about the US mission in Libya (oops NATO mission, 1/4 NATO supported mission) this does not seem like an escalation one way or the other.
24-04-2011Not Dan(U.S.A.)Dan from Ohio (United States of America)I wonder when the Anointed One is going to inform congress for approval?*********************************************************************************When ignorant Dan bows down to the one he believes is the Anointed One.
24-04-2011We need to stay out of this one. More money and more problems. The people in the middle east need someone to tell them what to do. Saddam and leaders like him them are right. We didn't have the problems we do now. The people of the middle east don't know what to do with freedom. I would say it is like giving a monkey a hand gun. Nothing good will come of it.
24-04-2011Older New Yorker(United States)vicweast.. I have learned. My education started on 9/11/ living in New York. I saw the towers up close and persona.. I went to the funerals of friends and of of the parents of children who went to school with my children. Before 9/11 I did not know neither did I care to know about the Muslim religion. 9/11 forced us to learn. Learn of the outright brutality of these 12th century thinking Muslims. Their total disregard for the right in their male dominated paternalistic societies.
24-04-2011Joseph Zrnchik, MAJ (Ret.)(U.S.)If Gaddafi defeats NATO he will be doing a favor for the American people. 24-04-2011Time for change time to end life time leaders has come..... End game for fools who think they can rule forever..
24-04-2011This is an unfiltered board, anybody (including Tripoli) can, and will state that they of US, UK, French Origin, It's like giving candy to a baby! (or Saif Gaddafi, as he's also known in some circles)
24-04-2011Don(Nevada)When you don't want to arm the rebels because they might be terrorists and you don't want them to take control and you don't want Gaddafi to win, then isn't your policy that you want to create a stalemate? Pick one side or the other or get out.
24-04-2011Ali(Malaysia)Most of the guys who commented in this page are outside of Libya (USA, Canada, etc.). I am sure they are funded by Gaddafi's government. So, they must comment on behalf of the man who pays them. They closed their eyes just for a bunch of dollar. Come on man, do not see your country men are being killed easily by him and and his cruel family kingdom.
24-04-2011Nomoredespots(Iran)There seem to be a lot of morons here supporting Gaddafi and his brutal henchmen. I assume they also support those lunatic despots in Syria and Iran. God help these misguided people.
24-04-2011FRED IS DEAD(United States of America)Fredy (USA)There are reports of children being sexually abused by Gaddafi's soldiers. Some of their relatives have *********************************************************************************Freddy: You must be the same person who spread a similar rumor about the victims of the Katrina flood.
24-04-2011Eva(USA)Thank you Obama, and the country leaders in France, UK and Italy for helping the Libya people. I hate paying tax, but this time, I am happy that some of my tax money goes into fighting for justice. Everyone on earth deserve to choose their country's leader.

24-04-2011Henry(USA)I know no one likes Gaddafi. Still disliking Gaddafi is not the answer for US to get involve militarily into Libya's internal conflicts. What kind of outcome that we are looking forward and who will benefit from getting rid of Gaddafi ? Will these oppositions be able to form a better government in Libya? Most importantly, will the outcome benefit USA and world peace? I doubt about the cohesiveness of the current US foreign policy.
24-04-2011Common Srnse(USA- NY)Many of you are claiming that the rebels are jihadists intertwined with al Qaeda... Where is your proof? I'm sure a few individuals are working with al Qaeda and exploiting the instability but the vast majority of the rebels are ordinary people yearning to throw off the yoke that is the Gaddafi régime.
24-04-2011(USA)You must realize that You have to be right. The American citizen must strive to find the truth by listening to all sides with an open mind. First we must admit we don't have all the information about anything and a lot of what we listen to are lies and propaganda. We must be smart enough to find the truth together, and wise enough to know we're in this together.
24-04-2011(us)B'SDQuadaffi the Arab Hitelr sen t Arab terrorists all over slaughter innocent Jews and Americans a few years ago .Rememeber that those dummer than dirt ?
24-04-2011Dahlan(Australia)All talk of meddling in other countries' business overlooks the fact that we are one humanity before God. We are here to protect each other. God Willing, one day humanity will live as one, and in peace. We're getting there, but boy oh boy, this humanity of ours is a slow learner.
24-04-2011Jack(USA)The opposition in libya are not extremist as some morons have said, in fact where is your evidence that they are al qaeda?? The evidence shows there not and that they are asking for their legitimate rights, so stop repeating gaddafis propaganda.

24-04-2011C Smith(US)“No,” Secretary of State Hillary Clinton bluntly stated when asked on “Face the Nation” if the U.S. would intervene in Syrian unrest as in Libya. She defended her position by saying that the situations in Syria and Libya are respectively "unique." Yes, each are unique, but not for reasons mentioned: Syria's human rights record is among the worst according to Human Rights Watch...http://theisraelofgod.blogspot.com/2011/03/expedient-for-jerusalem.html

24-04-2011JoAnne(USA)Been in Libya working for over 5 years, am an American woman, 85% of the population are moderate and live in the West They do not back these insurgents. Had innocent friends killed today by a drone. Ghadafi was working on a gold dinar standard for the AU and Arab states, This war was planned in Nov 2011, go to you tube and watch " Kucinich: Obama Libya War Violates Constitution and UN Resolution"
24-04-2011(UK)If we had kept our noses out of Libya it would have been over in a week with a fraction of the deaths. There just have not been any massacred people , the cities of Ras Lanuf , Brega , Ajdabiyahave changed hands many times, yet none of these towns where massacred.
24-04-2011Cynic(UK - no, really!)Many of the pro-Gadaffi comments here, from posters supposedly in the USA and UK, contain minor grammatical errors and spelling mistakes of kinds which are surprising from native English speakers.
24-04-2011CaptKen Pt 1 of 2(USA)What innocent civilian did Gaddafi kill, I have never seen an innocent civilian with a rocket launcher or anti-aircraft gun in my life. We should not be there, let Gaddafi get his county back under control. These rebels are crazy and have no idea of what they are doing. His cities are working, productive, and safe where as the rebel cities are total chaos. In Syria they are actually shooting and killing innocent civilians but that’s ok. I don’t think we should be there next either.
24-04-2011CaptKen Part 2 of 2(USA)Our country in going down the toilet fast. We need to get out of all three wars we are in right now. Let these countries work out their own problems. By the way, in the picture of the three guys at the door it looks like a rocket is about to hit. It is just in front of the last guy. Anyone else see it?
24-04-2011Ted Peters(USA)I'd like a recall on that Nobel they gave to Obama in anticipation of his Messiahship.
24-04-2011Our enemies are now our friends, our friends are now our enemies. No Social Security increases, no veterans pension increases in the US, but $25 Million to al Qaeda. So THAT'S where the money went!
24-04-2011To Dee, Trump received money from Gaddafi by selling or renting Gaddafi property in Manhattan. Then Trump refused to allow Gaddafi to pitch a tent on that property when he was visiting to speak at the UN.Nothing gets by a guy or gal who knows money, and business. Glad to see someone knows something.
24-04-2011dlbnext(usa)Where is the peace prize winner?
24-04-2011Kip Noxzema(USA)Look at how you worded this, VOA:"The U.S. strike is part of a NATO-led effort to impose a no-fly zone over Libya" A No-Fly Zone means you bring down aircraft in the Zone, not air to ground strikes. It looks like the only thing NATO accomplished was getting a lot of innocents killed. We've got a president who doesn't know how to lead, let alone run a military operation. He thought he could kill Qaddafi in "a few days" but it didn't work. Now we're in a quagmire.
24-04-2011Darrel(USA)The war mongering, hypocritical, habitual liar Barack Obama ordered the bombing of the sovereign state of Libya, killing many and horrendously wounding masses."The president does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation." - Sen. Barack Obama December 20,
24-04-2011What is Obama-really? He is a poor impersonation of his apparent hero, Bonito Mussollini. Check out the way he carries his head and photos of Il Duce. His contempt for the Constitution of the US (the real significance of his refusal to show his true birth certificate-- if he has it) and contempt for the people of the US just like his hero Mussollini. Remember, Bonito did do some good (trains ran on time) before he destroyed Italy, just as Obama will destroy the US if allowed.
24-04-2011John C(USA)Who are the rebels, whose funding and supporting them, where are they getting their weapons from, who are their leaders and what is their background; are they socialists, communists or Islamic extremists, what's their plan when the revolution is over, what type of government will they install, will it be friendly to the US, and why is Obama committing our military lives and taxpayers' money to support them?
24-04-2011karmaI remember Libya supporting factions in the Lebanese civil war. Pictures of the Libyan conflict are almost identical to the pictures from the Lebanese war. Remember people, what goes around comes around! The rest of the Middle East will understand the pain that the Lebanese people endured.
24-04-2011D3C0D3(USA)This is not a humanitarian war. I wonder what the real payoff is. When they tell us in the history books in 20 years. This war is intentionally turning people against their governments. Why? Despite what most sheeple would think this has been planned long before Obama. I for one am not so naive as to believe that the whole effect of this war is not by design. How will they stop a world wide up rising against government? A UN controlled world (NWO).
24-04-2011It's the IMF & the Fed(US of $)The time is ripe for business in Libya, just like it was in Iraq. This "war" has raised the value of securities. See who recently before Iraq & before Libya purchased these securities. BUT it is not necessarily about the money. It is about keeping you in your place using money.
24-04-2011Infirmo(USA)Wow. You guys watch way too much Glenn Beck. Are you wearing your tricorn hats while you type? And all you guys standing up for Gadaffy as though he's some sort of innocent pariah for the excesses of Obama's government, a Martyr for the right wing cause? Get real! This is the guy that ordered to Lockerbie bombing. Sure, Ayn Rand would defend Gaddaffy's right to bomb Americans and to subjugate and murder his own people, but she's a sociopath. You've got to drink a lot of Kool-Aid to get there.
24-04-2011James(USA)This is an opportunity to remove one of the most brutal dictators in existence. We should be doing much more, right now, to put that madman out of business. No conceivable rebel government could be worse than Gadhafi.
25-04-2011Ed(USA)The French and UK and Italy said Iraq was Bushes war (which it was) now France and the UK and Italy wanted to slow the tide of Africans and people from places like Libya moving to France-UK-Italy. All of a sudden they were hawks needing the US to do the dirty work and fix Libya and pay the bill. Obama said sure, the US has lots of money and a hole in it's pocket. LOL....
25-04-2011Doodle(USA)Ramble Ramble, conspiracy theory, ramble ramble.Go back on your meds.
25-04-2011The West will take over Libya [again], and consolidate its hold on the world supply of oil, and consequently, have a heavy thumb on the policies of all nations who need oil, and improve the means to renew the coffers of profligate 1%. When the politics seems a bit confusing, take a look at who will profit; the rest is just "spin-doctoring" for the masses.Welcome to the Great Game, and ever more transparent hypocrisies by our "no better than they are" politicians.
