(PHNOM PENH, April 25, Xinhua) - Cambodian and Thai troops exchanged fire in the border area contested for the fourth day running Monday, said Cambodian defence spokesman.
Thai troops fired artillery into Cambodian territory over the disputed border area of the Temple of Ta Moan in Oddar Meanchey province Monday afternoon, said the spokesman.
"At 1: 45 p.m. forces Thai had fired six artillery shells in the area near Ta Moan temple,"Lieutenant General Chhum Socheat, spokesman of the Cambodian Defence Ministry, said Xinhua by telephone."".
It marks the fourth consecutive day of the conflict on the Thai-Cambodian border. Both parties blamed each other for trigger clashes.
No more recent victim of the clash were available now.
